Lewis & Clark Behavioral Health Services (LCBHS) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency offering a variety of different programs in southeastern South Dakota. LCBHS provides residential, outpatient, and inpatient programs as well as patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services to individuals experiencing substance use disorders or mental illness. LCBHS is considered by many to be the premiere, fully integrated non-profit provider of substance use disorder and mental health services in Southeastern South Dakota.

Staff and Facilities
 

LCBHS provides services with a staff of 170 individuals from office locations in Yankton, Vermillion, and Lake Andes, South Dakota. Plans are well underway for the consolidation of the Yankton locations into one state-of-the-art facility. We are proud to adhere to a “no wrong door” treatment approach that allows ready access to an integrated array of services regardless of the access point.

Lewis & Clark Behavioral Health Services (LCBHS) seeks applications for a training director. The training director will lead LCBHS’s training partnership with the University of South Dakota, Department of Psychology, Clinical Training Program. The training partnership seeks to provide an innovative and transformation practicum experience for master trained, fourth year clinical psychology students in preparation for Internship and completion of the doctorate degree. This position includes an appointment as Assistant Professor of Practice within the Department of Psychology.  

 

REQUIRED:

Applicants must possess an earned Ph.D. and must be eligible for licensure as a psychologist in South Dakota.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

​Collaborate and participate in the development and implementation of policy, procedures, and the future direction of the training partnership; implement innovative and transformative, high quality training opportunities for practicum students; develop and maintain partnerships that enhance the quality of training; provide clinical supervision; provide clinical services and teach.  

PREFERENCES:

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in clinical service training programs, program, and policy development, supporting external partnerships.  Preference will also be giving to individuals based on past clinical and teaching experience.
